Gerry Marie Camp Bader 80, died Sunday, June 9, 2024. She was born in Lake Charles.
She was an artist and photographer. She taught art and gifted children in Calcasieu and Cameron Parish and retired as a school counselor. For many years she served as Vice principal, teacher, and counselor on military bases for DODS (Department of Defense Schools) all around the world. She served as Captain for Lake Charles Civil Air Patrol for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loy and Madeline Camp.
Survivors include her children, Paul Bader and wife Melissa, and Loy Bader and companion Lisa; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration service was held Friday, June 14, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A rosary was recited on Friday, June 14.
