Lawana Wanette Jones was born Aug. 31, 1932, and passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the age of 91. Lawana and her husband moved to Louisiana to take on a pastoral roll at Longville Pentecostal Church where they pastored for around 15 years. She was also a professional seamstress.
She is survived by her children, Diana Brown and husband Dennis, Rosemary Hoss and husband John, Steve Jones and wife Lisa, and Phillip Jones; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She wass preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Lynn Jones; great-grandson, Caleb Hoss; parents, Elmer and Alice Priest; three sisters; and two brothers.
The family received friends from 12 – 2 p.m. with the funeral service followed at 2 p.m., Monday, June 17, at Longville Pentecostal Church in Longville. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
