Allain commissioned to paint nine gators

In celebration of First Federal Bank of Louisiana’s 75th anniversary, the Bank has unveiled its newest Gator on the Geaux statue, which has made its home at the Bank’s Main Office lobby in downtown Lake Charles.

The Gator was turned into a dapper 1940s banker with the help of local artist Morgan Allain. A mock 1940s-era teller station completed the scene and reflects the early days of First Federal Bank. First Federal Bank President & CEO Sam Wilkinson and bank employees sketched out the idea and worked with Morgan Allain to bring it to life. The Gator on the Geaux project is a fundraiser for the Lake Charles Symphony, and Wilkinson served on the original committee that started the Gator on the Geaux project decades ago.

Allain of DeQuincy had been commissioned to paint nine Gators with this being her 5th completed project. She has four more Gators to finish.
