Dorothy “Dot” Vice, 94, died Monday, June 17, 2024. She was born in Sulphur.
Survivors include her sons, Glynn Vice and wife, Rhonda of Vinton, Gerald Vice and wife, Marvol Gail of Starks, and Gerard Vice and wife, Lori of Engleside, Texas; two daughters, Pamela Ann Martin and husband, Glenn, and Trina Townsend, all of Vinton; eventeen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; along with numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphe’ Vice; son, Greg Vice; parents, Eulice and Octavia Benoit; two brothers; grandson, Timothy Townsend; great-grandson, Garrett Vice; and a great-great grandson, L.J. Wylie.
A Celebration of life was held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton on Thursday, June 20. Pastors Larry and Jody LaFleur officiated. Burial followed at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss.
