James Luis Ayers was born Sept. 2, 1986 and passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the age of 37. He enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, and listening to music. James was a jack of all trades. He loved his piano and dogs, Snowbella and Samanna Banana. Most of all, he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Ayers; mother, Nancy Thibodeaux and husband Mickey; father, Manuel Hernandez; siblings, Angela Hendricks, Manuel Piloto and wife Shawne Te’, Michael Miller, and Allie Miller and husband Shay; nephews, Klaus, Ricky, Aaron, Travis, Garren, and, Zander; and niece, Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Annarose Staton.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Pastor Tony Bourque will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
