Railroad Festival schedule

The 25th annual Louisiana Railroad Days Festival schedule is as follows:

Thursday, April 10

  • 5 p.m. - Festival opens, Food Booths open, Carnival Rides begin.
  • 5:30 p.m. - Ms. Caboose Pageant (Womanless Pageant).
  • 6:30 p.m. - Entertainment.
  • 7:30 p.m. - Louisiana Railroad Days Festival Queen and Jr. Queen Pageant.
  • 11 p.m. - Festival closes

Friday, April 11

  • 2 p.m. - Carnival Rides open, Food Booths open, Arts and Crafts Show, Parade line up at Nichols, Bicycle Parade line up.
  • 2:30 p.m. - Bicycle Parade judging.
  • 3 p.m. - Parade begins.
  • 3:30 p.m. - Introduction of 2008, Louisiana Railroad Days Festival Queen, Jr. Queen and Princesses, Parade Marshal and Contest Winners.
  • 4 p.m. - Music by Perry Comeaux,
  • 5:30 p.m. - Gospel Night begins
  • 8-9:30 p.m. - Monument Quartet
  • 9:45 p.m. - Disc Jockey Perry Comeaux
  • 11 p.m. - Festival closes

Saturday, April 12

  • 8:30 a.m. - Cannonball 5K run, 1 Mile Fun Run following.
  • 9 a.m. - Carnival Rides open, All Booths open, Railroad Museum opens, Model Train Show,
    Arts and Crafts Show.
  • 10 a.m. - Old Timers Reunion.
  • 11:30 a.m. - Recognition of Queens and Special Guests.
  • 12 p.m. - Railroad Idol
  • 3 p.m. - Louisiana Express and Elvis
  • 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. - The Bayou Katz,
  • 8 p.m. - Country artist Ronnie McDowell,
  • 10 p.m. - Street Dance.
  • 12 p.m. - Festival closes.
