Obituaries from the November 1 paper.

Donnie Sue Hughes, 78, of LaCamp, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at her home. Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 26, at Perkins Cemetery.

Survivors include her two sons, James Hughes and wife, Frances Walker, of Lake Charles and Bill Hughes, of LaCamp; two daughters, Karen Hughes, of Ft. Myers, Fla.. and Sandy Seal and husband, Tim, of DeRidder; brother, Allen Ray Stovall of DeQuincy; her twin sister, Esther Lucius of Lake Charles; sister, Lee Denton of West Lake; ten grandchildren and eighteen grandchildren.

Pearl M. Leubner died on Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at a local nursing home.

Mrs. Leubner is survived by her three sons, Robert and wife Francis of Ragley, George and wife Cathy and Carl and wife Carolyn, all of Westlake; 11 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Leubner; daughter, Frankie Gwartney; four brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Oct. 26, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.

Funeral services for L. E. “Juneau” Perkins, Jr. were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 in the Chapel of White Oaks in Oakdale with Rev.Bruce Austin officiating. Committal services followed in the Union Hill Cemetery.

Perkins, 83, of DeQuincy, died on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Glenmora. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in DeQuincy. By trade, he worked as a building contractor before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnna Holley Perkins of DeQuincy; one daughter, Celeste Perkins Michael of Oakdale; one son, Terry Wade Perkins, and wife Julia of Elizabeth; two sisters, Edlois Stalsby and Agnes Thibodeaux, both of Oakdale; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. E. and Ida Perkins, Sr.; one son, Lyndal Earl Perkins; five brothers, and five sisters.

Aaronia “Holly” Bradshaw, 69, of DeRidder, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Garden Grove, Calif.

A memorial service will be held at a later date under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
