Sandra Hutson of Starks was born on Sept. 5, 1943 and passed from this life on Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2018 at her residence in Starks. On Apr. 11, she and her husband, William, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was a lifelong member of First Pentecostal Church of Starks. She loved her church and her church family. She also loved working in her flower garden. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and she will greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, William Lloyd Hutson, her children, Richard Clark of Virginia, Robert Clark of Starks, Kim Dorman of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jeff Hutson of Starks; and grandchildren, Danielle, Anthony and Ashley. She is also survived by her sisters, Frankie Fountain and Doris Smith, both of Starks, and Brenda Pearson of Doyline; along with numerous nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Sis. Rose Sartin.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Buxton; and her brothers, Ronald Buxton and Kenneth Gore.

The family received friends on Friday, Apr. 20, from 5-8 p.m. at The First Pentecostal Church of Starks. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Apr. 21, beginning at 10 a.m. at The First Pentecostal Church of Starks with Pastor Karl Smith officiating. Interment followed at Doyle Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.

Errol Bollich, 57, of Sulphur, died on Tuesday, Apr. 10, 2018.

He attended Frasch, Sulphur High and Country Day School on St. Croix, USVI.

Survivors include his dad and stepmom, Rodney and Judy Bollich of DeQuincy; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Laken Bollich; daughter, Christy Bollich; brother, Gerard Bollich; sister, Ramona Landry; all of Sulphur; step-sister Kelly Rushing of Youngsville; and four grandchildren.

Errol was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Meyers Bollich; and grandparents, Pete and Lottie Bollich and Rompie and EmyLee Meyers.

Arleen Evelyn Schnaath Goode, 89, of Lake Charles died Saturday, Apr. 21, 2018 in a local hospital.

She was born in St. Louis, Mo. and has lived over 60 years in Lake Charles. She worked a few years at Calcasieu Savings & Loan as a secretary to the branch manager. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1956 where she also played the piano for Bible study.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Thomas and husband, Roger, of Moss Bluff and Debbie Doty and husband, Michael, of Ragley; one son, Mark Goode and wife, Margaret, of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one brother, David Schnaath of Wellsville, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Jay Goode; mother, Vera, and father, Gottlieb Schnaath; and an infant brother.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Johnny officiated. Interment followed at Prien Memorial Park.

Mary Alice Stevens, 75, of Moss Bluff, died on Saturday, Apr. 21, 2018 at The Care Center of DeQuincy. She was born in Maurice.

She is survived by two brothers, Albert Stevens of Iowa and Curly Stevens of Texas; and two sisters, Hilda Broussard and Anna Maye Guidry, both of Ragley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Amy Stevens; one brother; and one sister.

Services were held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Tuesday, Apr. 24. Burial followed at Old Ritchie Cemetery.

George Von Keisler Robinson, 67 of Fort Smith, Ark. passed away Monday, Apr. 16, 2018. He was born May 21, 1950 in Crowley.

He is survived by his fiancé Laura Ann Thompson; one daughter, Treba Vallien of Fort Smith, Ark.; one son, Kevin Minix of Crowley; seven grandchildren, Mylah, Kennedy, Keira, Raeven, Jahre, Christopher and Chris’Asia; and two sisters, Effie Kindle of Houston, Texas and Bella Robinson of Baytown, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George V. and Beatrice (Guidry) Robinson; and one daughter, Reba Robinson.

A Viewing was held on Friday, Apr. 20, at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Hwy., Fort Smith, Ark. There will also be a viewing on Saturday, Apr. 28, from 9-11 a.m. at Holy Temple Church, 824 West 14th Street, Crowley with the funeral service to begin at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at West Crowley Cemetery in Crowley under the direction of Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
