Clifton Joseph Kellebrew, Sr. was born on Nov. 28, 1931 and passed away on Feb. 14, 2019 at the age of 87.
He is survived by his grandsons, Josh Kellebrew and wife, Casey of Sulphur and William “Bill” Joseph Kellebrew and wife, Natalie of Jennings; his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Katelyn, Mason, Emily, Alissa, Logan, Karter and Charlee; and two great-great-children, Hailey and Lauren. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Bagwell of Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton R. Kellebrew and Lena Maude Griffith Kellebrew; his wife of 60 years, Verbelee Kellebrew; his sons, Curtis Wayne Kellebrew, Clifton “C.J.” Kellebrew, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Darla Kellebrew; and several siblings.
The family received friends on Sunday, Feb. 17, from 4- 7 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service was held at Riley Smith Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. with interment following at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields. Officiating was Rev. T. D. Cardwell.
