IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR
DRINKING WATER
We are required to monitor your drinking water for chlorine residual at our point of collection taps at the same time bacteriological samples are collected. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards. During the monitoring period of November 01, 2018 to November 30, 2018, the Calcasieu WW#14 Ward 5 did not monitor for chlorine residual at the same time bacteriological samples were collected, and therefore we cannot be sure of the quality of your drinking water during that time.
This violation occurred because of the failure to collect the required samples for chlorine residual from the water system’s distribution system.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
Necessary action has been taken to prevent this violation from recurring.
This notice is being sent to you by Calcasieu WW#14 Ward 5, LA1019042. If you have questions about this notice, please contact the water system directly: Ms. Catherine Barks, Secretary, at 337-743-5300.
