Napoleon Holley

Napoleon “Nappy” Holley, 71, a resident of DeQuincy passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served as a Combat Medic in the Vietnam War receiving several medals for his service. Nappy was a faithful member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rainwater Holley; sons, Cody Lance Holley of Lake Charles and Brad Holley of Sulphur; his stepchildren, Robin Stark and Chris Hollie and wife, Jennifer, all of DeQuincy, along with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his mother, Elaine Holley of DeQuincy; his siblings, Rev. Cecil Vaughn Holley and wife, Deborah of McCloud, Texas; Marilyn Vidrine and husband, Kevin; Vicki Franks and husband, Marty and Stephanie Nichols, all of DeQuincy; along with several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Holley.

The family received friends on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 5-8 p.m. at The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, 301 W. Fourth St. and on Friday, Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. until time for the service at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Wayne Neyland officiated. Interment followed at Riley Smith Memorial Park in DeQuincy.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
