Eliza “Liza” Lyons, a resident of Singer was born on Jan. 25, 1949 in DeQuincy and passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.
She is survived by her husband, John Patrick Siefermann; her children, Christina Choate of Singer, Selina Jones and husband, David of Sulphur, Lawrence Lyons, Jr. and fiance’ Juanita Perkins of DeQuincy, Martha Joyce Askew and husband, Donnal Wayne of DeQuincy, Melissa Brister and husband, Greg of DeRidder, Valentine Siefermann of Pueblo, Colo. and Carolyn Young and husband, Jared of Katy, Texas; along with 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Katherine Doyle of Sulphur, Roxie Darbonne of Sulphur and Helen Franks of Oretta, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Lyons, Sr.; daughter, Missy Ann Lyons;parents, Kenneth Doyle and Martha Bailey Doyle; two brothers; and three sisters.
The family received friends on Monday, Feb. 25, from 5- 8 p.m. at Oretta Pentecostal Church and the funeral service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, beginning at 10 a.m. at Oretta Pentecostal Church. Pastor Dustyn Rose officiated. Interment followed at Oretta Cemetery.
