Lucy Guillott

Lucy “Dean” Willadene Myers Cryer Guillott, 85, was born on Feb. 8, 1934 and entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 in Lake Charles.

The foundation of her life was John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. She realized the world was broken and needed a Savior.

She was gentle and kind. She loved serving God whether as a church pianist, Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School worker or anything she was called upon to do. She cared for countless people throughout her life. She loved all of nature, especially gardening and all the dogs she adopted. She was a loving daughter, sister, and mother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Ramona D. Davis, Windy Barr and husband Randy; grandsons, Andrew and Owen Barr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by her husband and sweetheart, Fennel F. Guillott; her son, Arnold R. Cryer; father and mother, Henry F. and Virginia E. Myers; her loving sisters, whom she missed daily, Anne Whitman, Audrey Hutson, and Linda Schweitzer.

Services were held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Tuesday, Mar. 5, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Sanford officiating. Visitation was at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial followed at Bilbo Cemetery in Singer.
