Good morning and welcome from the DeQuincy Church of Christ. We would like to take this opportunity to extend a hardy welcome to join us at any of our services. We strive to show the “love of Christ” daily in our lives. The love of Christ compels us to love the soul as well as the person. We want to help people not only deal with life’s struggles, but also to get to heaven.

In the world today, there is much talk about walls, borders, and laws. It is not our desire to get into a political debate, but to recognize what the Scriptures say about our salvation and the way we need to look at heaven’s immigration policy (the Scriptures themselves). The Lord Himself said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matt. 7:13-14). In these verses alone we find that there will be those who are lost and those who are saved. Jesus again said, that not everyone who calls Him ord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but He does the will of God in heaven (Matt. 7:21).

The truth is that the Bible tells us what to do in order to be pleasing to God (2 Cor. 5:7-9; 2 Tim. 3:16-17). If we deny the Scriptures we will find ourselves outside the gates of heaven. We do not want to see anyone lost, neither does Christ. He shed His own blood to pay the price of our redemption. He gave us the word through the Holy Spirit so that we can live pleasing to Him.

There are many ways in which we try to help spread the gospel of Christ. We invite you to come join us and feel free to ask us questons. We have three men who serve as overseers (shepherds, elders) of the congregation as described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 – Don Jackson, Paul Wilcoxson and Ray Franks. These men help us follow the pattern of Christianity as described in the New Testament and practiced by the first century church. We would love to have you join us at any of our services where all are welcome. “The churches of Christ salute you … (Romans 16-16).
