William Ray “Bill” Buxton, was born on Friday, Mar. 15, 1958 and passed away on Mar. 15, 2019 at the age of 61.
He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Mitchell and husband, Keith; his mother, Wanda Buxton; sisters, Carol Cooper, Diana Spears and husband, Darrell; brothers, Dennis Buxton, Willard Buxton, Chris Buxton, Danny Buxton and wife, Jayme; his grandchildren, Avery, Sadie, Elliott and Hattie Mitchell; along with the mother of his daughter, Wendy Bushnell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Downs Buxton, brother, Roger Buxton, sister, Gail Nichols; nephews, Jason Buxton and Casey Cooper.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Mar. 22, from 5-8 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 23, beginning at 10 a.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer. Rev. Adrian Littlefield will be officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
