Frances Ann Smith was born on Dec. 5, 1929 in Buna, Texas and passed away on Sunday, Apr. 21, 2019 at the age of 89.
She is survived by her children, Danny Smith and wife Shirley, Jimmy Smith and wife, Doris, Sandra Simon and husband, Euell, all of Starks, Cathy Cline of Metairie and Lisa Smith of Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty East of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Henderson Smith; son, Donnie Smith; parents, William Drake and Hallie Wallace Drake; two brothers and two sisters.
Family received friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 23 and and will receive friends from 12 noon until time of the funeral service Wednesday, Apr, 24, at Calvary Apostolic Church, 4270 Highway 12, Starks. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 24, at the church. Interment to follow at Miller Annex in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
