Green T. “Tommy” Thompson, Jr. a resident of Longville was born on Sept. 22, 1948 and passed away on Thursday, Apr. 25, 2019 at the age of 70.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Thompson; children, Michelle Casteel, Greg Thompson, Green “Tom” Thompson, III and wife, Shellie, Rusty Thompson and wife, Jessica and Christina Hobbs and husband, Craig along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Iris Kroske, Lillian Thompson Streitmatter and Barbara Middleton and husband, Fred.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Green Thompson, Sr. and Myrtle Gilbert Thompson; brother, Larry Thompson and sister, Jeanette Thompson.
The family received friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 28, at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Apr. 29, at First United Pentecostal Church, 230 Smith St., DeQuincy. Pastor Carlton Jackson, Jr., Rev. T. D. Cardwell and Rev. David Buxton officiated. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery, Ragley in Louisiana.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
