The Golden Knights of South Beauregard were in the semifinals with a district foe the Iowa Yellow Jackets. Because of the weather they stepped onto the ball field Sunday afternoon and both teams showed that they wanted to make it to Tuesday night’s state championship game.

The team each received four hits in the game South Beau got the winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied at one each. That coming off of the bat of Chase Fisher, a solo homerun, giving the Golden Knights the 2-1 victory and pushing them into the class 3A state championship game that was played Tuesday evening in Sulphur one Sterlington.
