John Dee Weaver, 89, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in a local hospital.
He was born in Good Pine, and attended McNeese State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Himont as an operator, where he retired after many years of service.
He is survived by his sister, Shirley Ruth Martin of Ragley; and brothers, Louie E. Weaver of San Bernadino, Calif., and Shelton “Cooter” Weaver of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn M. Sandifer Weaver; son, Murray Lynn “M.L.” Weaver; parents, John and Evia Weaver; and three brothers.
His funeral service was held Sunday, May 19, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brent Keating officiated. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
