John Baldwin

John B. Baldwin of Longville passed away peacefully in his sleep at the young age of 84, at his residence surrounded by his family.

One of his many quotes “Why in the heck would I want people parading by looking at me that I never seen before in my life? so just cremate my behind and spread my ashes over my hog pasture.”

John B. Baldwin’s final birthday/memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 16, in Ragley at the Ragley Recreation Center from 2-10 p.m.

John was the last living sibling of Willie and Gertrude Baldwin. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army and then married June Elizabeth Johnson of Sugartown. They had four children: Lisa, Shelia Baldwin of Longville, John M. Baldwin of DeQuincy, Teena of Sulphur; six grandchildren; and two very special nephews, Rodney Baldwin and Joe Chauffepied. He retired from PPG, but most importantly, was the GREATEST FATHER IN THE WORLD. A very special thanks to his long time care provider, Ronald Porché.
