Carolyn Joyce Maddox Haynes, a native and resident of DeQuincy passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 in Lake Charles at the age of 74.
She is survived by her children, Deana Haynes of Rosepine, Stacy Sturgeon and husband, Tom of DeQuincy, and Bill Haynes, also of DeQuincy grandchildren, Michael Dyson, Layton Haynes, Trent Schmidt, Shannon Haynes, Tyler Lamberth, Sydney Rainwater and husband, Robert, Mayzie Mansco and husband, Matt and Tommy Sturgeon; along with eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Edgar Haynes; son, Billy Trent Haynes; parents, Percy B. Maddox and Emma Holmes Maddox; two brothers, Ray Maddox and Jack Maddox; and one sister, Gladys Maddox.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service was held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, with interment following at Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
