Ruthie Clark, a resident of Starks was born on Dec. 9, 1946 and passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the age of 72.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie Darmon Clark; children, DeWayne Smith of Starks, Jannia East and husband, Ray, Sr. of Vidor, Texas, Misty Clark of Castroville, Texas and Kanita Raheja and husband, Dheeraj of Sugarland, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Warren, Santana, Kade, Reece, Anjali, Little Jerry, Little Mary, Stormy, Tammy, Ray Jr., Walley, Joshua and Anne Marie, and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Frillou and Francis Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris Frillou and Honey Bland Frillou and sisters, Punkin, Mary and Christine.
The family received friends Friday, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The visitation resumed on Saturday, June 29, from 9-10 a.m. Following the visitation family and friends proceeded to Clark Cemetery in Starks for a graveside service.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
