CBA Sticks plays in tournaments

2019 brought a new organization to youth travel baseball leagues. The CBA Sticks had 9U and 14U teams this year consisting of players from DeQuincy and surrounding towns.

CBA 9U Sticks

The 9U Sticks went 19-21-2 placing second in the USSSA World Series Warm Up XVII. They placed third out of 16 teams in the USSSA Crawfish Classic and third out of 11 in the USSSA Battle of Acadiana.

The 9U Sticks also brought home two championships, placing first in the 2D Lafayette Regional Tournament as well as the USSSA Acadiana June Kickoff. The 9U Sticks finished out their season this past weekend at the USSSA Global World Series in Sulphur.

The 9U Sticks were managed by head coach Jerry Goza and assistant coach Cullen Irwin.

CBA 14U Sticks

The CBA 14U Sticks had a season record of 16-11-2. They also came away with two championship weekends placing first in the USSSA Cowboy Campus Tour and placing first and going undefeated in the USSSA Acadiana Memorial Day Classic. 14U placed third in the USSSA Baseball State Championship Tournament.

The 14U Sticks were managed by head coach Michael Cagley and assistant coach Matt Mueller.
