P.R.D. & G. Association held the annual Dr. Charles E. Coney Sr. Memorial Scholarship luncheon on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each were awarded to Simone Davis and Elijah Simpson.
Davis is the daughter of Amal and Rondalyn Davis. She is the granddaughter of Calvin and Elizabeth Skinner.
Simpson is the son th Tanesha Wilson and great-grandson of Ethel Crawford.
The speaker, Minister Eddie McCoy, presented books “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren and “Mentor, The Kid and the CEO” by Tom Pace with Walter Jenkins to all youth present.
