Edward Bonvillain, Jr.

Edward Eugene Bonvillain Jr., 86, of Ragley died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, in a local care facility.

He was born in Eunice and lived most of his life in Ralgey. He attended LaGrange High School and McNeese State University. He served in the U.S. Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. He worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #106 for many years and then retired in 2009 from Olin after 17 years of service as a planner and scheduler. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #443 in Westlake.

He is survived by his sons, Matt Bonvillain and wife Debbie of Ragley, Robert Bonvillain and wife Susan of Lake Charles, and Lance Bonvillain and wife Karen of Bryant, Ark.; daughter, Connie Fontenot and husband Max of Sand Springs, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Bonvillain; parents, Edward Eugene Bonvillain Sr. and Grace Marie Savoy; daughter, Addie Myers; and two brothers.

His memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Bluff. Rev. Glenn George officiated. Burial followed in Hagar Cemetery in Ragley.
