Tigers routed by South Beauregard

By Mike Suchanek

Gunner Gearen passed for 327 yards. Copper Hext had 12 catches for 152 and Braylon Snell 3 for 125. They were the bright spots in a pretty lopsided loss to down the road rival, South Beauregard, 70-28.

On the ground South Beau had 2 runners break the century mark, Colby Hollier has 130 yards and Jackson LeBouef had 168. Jayden Derouen threw in 75 for good measure. South Beau came in with a 3 headed running game and DeQuincy just couldn’t stop them.

DeQuincy was led on the ground by Taije Caesar with 90 yards for the sophomore tailback.

The game was over by halftime as South Beau raced out to a 36-8 halftime lead. South Beau added another 34 after the half. DeQuincy didn’t give up having scored 20 in the second half but it was just too high of a mountain to climb.

On to Albany, as they make a visit to DeQuincy. Let’s get out and support the Tigers.
