Elaine Holley, 91, a resident of DeQuincy passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. She was a prayer warrior and a faithful member of Pentecostal House of Praise. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and her church family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Rev. C. V. Holley and wife, Debbie of McLeod, Texas, Vicki Franks and husband, Marty, Marilyn Vidrine and husband, Kevin, and Stephanie Nichols; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Holley all of DeQuincy; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Aline Spears of DeQuincy and Verna Hoosier of Starks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Holley; son, Leon Holley; parents, N. B. and Caroline Beckworth Smith; daughter-in-law, Lynette Holley; four brothers and four sisters.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Pentecostal House of Praise, 1079 Hwy 389, DeQuincy. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at the Church with Pastor Anthony Kennon, Rev. Roy Hoosier and Rev. Leon Royer officiating. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St.DeQuincy.
