Dale Wallace Cooley, a resident of Pearland, Texas, was born in Ragley on July 16, 1932 and passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019 at the age of 87.
He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Janice Campbell-Cooley; children, Cynthia Whiteley and husband, Jody of Pearland, and Lee Ann Lancaster and husband, William Dale of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Andrea Lanette Whiteley and Justin Thomas Whiteley, both of Pearland and Michael Preston Barnett of Denton, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Carter. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Freeman and husband, William of Pearland; brothers, Wendell Cooley and wife, Judy of LaPlace and Wayne Cooley of Las Cruces, N. M. along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton C. Cooley and Bertha Hodges Cooley; sister, Floyelle Cooley Simmons; and brother, Kelva Duane Cooley.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. A graveside service will be held Friday, Dec. 27, beginning at 1 p.m. at Hagar Cemetery in Ragley.
Arrangements will be handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
