Jack Milton Alston, 82, of Singer died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 in his son’s home.
He was a member of the Church of Christ. He worked for the Louisiana Department of Highways. He spent two years in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Coleman Alston; daughter, Kimberly Bednorz of Houston, Texas; son, Douglas Shane Alston and Tammy of Little Elm, Texas; sister, Arlene Cornwell of Rosepine; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claiborne “Dick” and Oddie Miers Alston; four brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Bro. Joey Franks officiated. Burial followed at Newlin Cemetery in Singer.
