Revanel Parker was born on Dec. 7, 1926 in Fields and passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019 at the age of 93.
She is survived by her children, Calva Jean Parker and husband, Calvin C. Parker of Sulphur, James K. Parker and wife, Carol of Sulphur, John Parker and wife, Janice of DeQuincy, Justin R. Parker and wife, Veronica of Lake Charles, Jason W. Parker and wife, Laurie of DeQuincy and Bradley Parker of DeQuincy; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Windham of DeQuincy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Calvin Parker; parents, Tommy Rainwater and Mary Windham; stepfather, Sam Windham; grandson, Calvin Edward Parker; brothers, Ernest Windham, Reid Rainwater and Tommy Joe Rainwater; and sisters, Beth Windham and Beth Barks.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at Hargrove Bible Baptist Church, 1425 Hargrove Loop, DeQuincy and the funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24 at the church. Bro. Michael Streams, Bro. Royce Bailey and Bro. Harry Methvin officiated. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
