Alice Virginia Dorman was born Jan. 24, 1932 and passed away Jan. 10, 2020 in Vidor, Texas at the age of 87.
Alice was a private duty pediatric nurse and she received her training at Ben Taub Hospital, Houston, Texas. She loved genealogy and was an active member of the Daughters of American Revolution. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Arlene Duhon of Beaumont. Elaine Duhon of Hamshire; Russell Cullen King of Silver City, New Mexico and Reginald King of Santa Rosa, Texas; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Ashworth and husband Calvin of Port Neches, Texas and Shirley Oliver of Huntsville, Texas and brother, Rodney Dorman and wife, Mary of Starks.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alan King; parents, Floyd Ivy and Winifred Dorman; sister, Carolyn King; and brother, Donald Dorman.
The family received friends, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon with the funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
