Two DeQuincy Tigers were recently named to the Class 2A all state honorable mention football team.
Quarterback Gunner Gearen who passed for 2,537 yards on the season completing 152 of his 246 pass attempts. He had 24 touchdowns passing on the year.
Wide receiver Cooper Hext who had 1040 yards receiving on 77 catches with 13 touchdowns. Cooper also had 400 yards rushing on just 47 carries.
