Ivan David

Ivan “Butch” David, 76, of Carlyss died Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 in a local hospital.

He was Catholic and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He worked as an operator for PPG retiring after 30 plus years and proudly served his county in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle David of Carlyss; daughter, Nancy Gray and husband Chris of Ragley; son, Ramsey David and wife Bethany of Beaver Dam, Ky.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Roger David and Manuel David of Lake Charles; two sisters, Diane McInnis of Sulphur and Mary Louise Moak of Magnolia, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Hazel David; and one sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Tim Goodly officiating. Burial was in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
