Robert Dale Lanier, 62, of Merryville died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020.
Survivors include his wife, Alisha Johnson Lanier of Merryville; sons, Jacob Schleich of Merryville and Robert “PeeWee” Lanier and Kayla of Oberlin; daughters, Heather Chaisson and Amanda of New Orleans, Misty Lanier of Anacoco and Danielle Medley and Jon-Erik of Lumberton, Texas; brothers, Mike Lanier of Merryville, Donnie Lanier of Houston, Texas, Russell Lanier and Dean Lanier, both of Merryville; sisters, Kathy Riggs and Shelia Smith, both of Merryville; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Inez Lanier; and one brother.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 19, at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Anthony Kennon officiated. Burial followed at Meadows Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder
