ORDINANCE NO: 922
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING A PUBIC HEALTH EMERGENCY AMID THE
WORLDWIDE OUTBREAK OF COVID-19.
BE lT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, Louisiana, the governing authority thereof, that based on the recommendations of the DeQuincy City Council, a Public Health Emergency is hereby declared in the City of DeQuincy, Louisiana, due to the worldwide outbreak of the coVlD-19 Virus.
BE lT FURTHER ORDAINED that Mayor Riley Smith is hereby authorized to use funds for the aforementioned emergency, although an amount is not known at this time, but is not expected to exceed $500,000.00;
BE lT FURTHER ORDAINED that Mayor Riley Smith is hereby authorized to secure reimbursement from FEMA for any and all funds expended;
BE lT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
This ordinance was declared adopted this 13th day of March, 2020.
