Lucille Goins Poole, 85, of Singer, formerly of High Hope Care Center, passed from this life on Thursday, Apr. 23, 2020.
Lucille was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Church. She loved playing guitar and singing at Singer Pentecostal Church in her younger years. Her fur babies were a very important part of her life, especially Toby who passed while she was in the nursing home. Lucille loved reading and going to eat with Sister Teresa Cardwell and the other church members.\
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susan Maddalone and Michael of Sulphur; niece, Laura Ann Goins Jeans and Stan of Singer; grandchildren, Cindy Poole, John Poole, Kenneth Poole, Jr., Bryan O’Connor and Justin O’Connor; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Freddie Poole; son, Kenneth “Shorty” Poole, Sr.; parents, Forest and Alberta Goins; brothers, JB Goins, Forrest Goins, Vernon Goins, Sr., Rodney Goins, Bryan Goins, and Kenneth Goins.
Brother Eddie Ray Hoosier officiated the private graveside service. Pallbearers were family and friends.
Services were under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
