Jeanette LaCour was born Sept. 11, 1946 and passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the age of 73.
She is survived by her children, Scotty Byrd and wife, Trish of Westlake, James Byrd and wife, Annel of Lake Charles, Michelle Elliott of Duncan, Okla., Yvette Pharris and husband, Randy of DeQuincy, Chris LaCour and wife, Lori of DeQuincy; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Lillian Williams of Denham Springs; and her brother, Ronnie “Runny” Laird of Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jean LaCour; parents, James Add Laird and Erthel Doyle Laird; brothers, Glenn Cloud, Jimmy Laird, Dennis Laird; sisters, Billy Kirkman and Eloise Evans; and her son-in-law, Michael Elliott.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy, with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, at the funeral home and interment will follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
