Dora Juanita Martin, 74, of DeQuincy, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at her residence after recovering from surgery trauma.
She was born to her late parents, William and Avey Martin on July 19, 1945 in DeQuincy.
She enjoyed genealogy, family history, crocheting, traveling, and was an active member of Temple Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She worked for BellSouth for 35 years in the clerical department.
She is survived by her older brother, Charles Martin and wife, Sande of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Janice Martin of DeQuincy; one nephew, William Martin of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Sheree Martin of Lake Charles, Katelyn Martin of Austin, Texas, Amberlee Martin of DeQuincy and Alyka Richard of DeQuincy.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Gerald Martin.
A graveside service was held at Perkins Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Bruce Austin officiating.
Services were entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
