Ward 6 firefighters busy during June

Ward Six Firefighters have been kept busy during the month of June. Since June 1st, the department has received 29 emergency calls.

Types of calls the department has responded to include structure fires, vehicle fires, motor vehicle crashes, fire alarms, trash fires, grass and woods fires, railroad crosstie fire, investigations of fires that were out upon arrival and assistance provided to other departments.

Ward Six Firefighters respond all hours of the day and night to provide professional fire protection services to our citizens. Combined, our Firefighters have also logged 1,875 training hours so far this year.

The dedication and professionalism of our Firefighters is second to none.
