Dewell Jefferson Campbell, 87, of Merryville died Friday, July 31, 2020.
He opened Campbell’s Supply in Merrvyille in 1968 and worked behind the counter for many years before passing the torch to his son, Ralph.
He is survived by his sons, Glen Campbell and Ralph Campbell, both of DeRidder; daughters, Jeanice Burrell and John of Jasper, Texas, Connie Bentivegna and Pete of Covington; sisters, Gaila Siebe of Newton, Texas, and Mary Wunschel of Meryville; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Simmons Campbell; grandsons, Russell Campbell, Jeffrey Campbell; one brother; and two sisters.
A graveside service was held Sunday, Aug. 2, at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville. Bro. Clyde Snyder officiated the service. Burial followed at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville.
