Dr. Jalel Joudeh gave the following COVID-19 update on Tuesday, Aug. 18:
Since COVID testing began in March until the present time our local lab has done 735 swabs. Of those, there are 168 positive tests which include 81 females, 44 males and 43 positive reswabs.
The numbers of new cases declined over the last couple of weeks. However, we have to continue for be very cautious and continue to practice social and physical distancing, avoid gathering in public and private as well as use masks when out in public. It is not over yet. We need not let our guard down especially with the return to school next week. We need to protect our children, family and our community. We need to do it together.
