Robert Davalos

Robert Bob Davalos, a resident of Nederland, Texas, was born in Port Arthur, Texas on Nov. 17, 1948 and passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 71.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as an Operator for Motiva for 49 years. Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things. He was a longtime member of First Pentecostal Church in Port Arthur. Robert may be gone but he will not be forgotten.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Ann Davalos; children, Robert Paul Davalos, Darrel Blaine Davalos, Falena Irene Lynch, Alfonso Jaime Pina and Jessie Alan Moore; grandchildren, Justine Landry, Deanna Pina, Aunica Lynch, Nathan Lynch, Luke Lynch, Justine Davalos, Samuel Davalos, Dylan Davalos, Jonathan Moore, Haley Moore, Lillyanna Moore and Robert Michael Davalos; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Louis Davalos, Willie Davalos, Eleanor Burleigh and Margie Brock.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Aug. 21, at First Church, 2300 Spurlock Rd, Nederland, Texas. A second visitation will be held 9-10: a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy with interment to follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
