Susan Jo Spicer, a resident of Merryville was born Dec. 7, 1954 in Coudersport, Penn. and passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 at the age of 65.
She is survived by her life partner, John Wilkins; mother, Linda Snyder of Friendship, N.Y.; children, Jennifer Roebuck and husband, Willie of Fields, Melanie Messier and husband Shawn of Derby, Ver., Richard Butler and wife, Jamie of Plains, Mo. Stephanie Blankenship and husband, David of Elkridge, Md.; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers, Herbert Spicer of Cuba, N.Y., Thomas Spicer and wife, Michelle of Mechanicsburg, Pa; sisters, Sara Garrison and husband, Gary of Richmond, Va., Betsy Ueblocker of Woodhull, N.Y. and Julie Hadsell of Friendship, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Loren Spicer and Vira Dimis Witter; brother, Richard “Dickie” Spicer; and grandson, Wesley Roebuck.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
