Michael Corbello

Michael W. “Mickey” Corbello, a resident of DeQuincy was born Mar. 22, 1936 in Woodlawn and passed away Nov. 9, 2020 at the age of 84. Mickey retired from the trucking industry at the age of 78. He loved Facebook and sharing his views on politics. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan Rigmaiden Corbello; daughters, Janet Maddox and husband, Steve, Paula Corbello and Kellie Corbello all of DeQuincy; four grandchildren, Ryan Maddox and wife, Mitzi, Tiffany Maddox and her companion, Norbert Ortiz, Danielle Wade and husband, John, and Kohl Corbello and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carolyn Delahoussaye and Debbie Arnold and husband, Fred along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Corbello and Lillian Goss Corbello and his brother, George Corbello.

The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, with the funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. The visitation and funeral service will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Carlton Jackson, Jr. and Rev. Alvin Dale Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
