DeQuincy wasted little time in their District matchup with the Vinton Lions getting on the scoreboard early and often scoring the first 28 points of the game.
Senior Rayden Rosalis was the workhorse on the night amassing 270 yards rushing on just 17 carries. Trey Penigar added 107 yards rushing. Gunner Gearen had 47, Quentin Pharris had 44 and Taije Ceaser added 27 yards as DeQuincy dominated the ground game scoring 5 times on the ground.
Through the air Gunner Gearen had 68 yards passing on only 3 attempts with one touchdown.
On the receiving end Gabe Johnston had 1 reception for 61 yards and 1 touchdown. Taije Ceasar added 1 reception for 7 yds.
On the defensive side of the game for DeQuincy Jacob Goodfriend had 4 tackles and 1 assist, Zach Johnson had 4 tackles And Gavin Gary had 3 tackles.
On special teams Hadley Cooley was perfect on the night going 6 for 6 on points after touchdowns.
