Aubrey Maddox

Aubrey Lee Maddox, 82, a lifelong resident of DeQuincy was born July 8, 1938 and passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020. Aubrey was a faithful member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. He proudly served his country in the National Guard of Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Maddox; daughter, Debra Maddox; son, Stephen Maddox and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Adam Parker, Laiken Pierce and husband, Jacob; Ryan Maddox and wife, Mitzi, Tiffany Maddox and companion, Norbert Ortiz, Stephen Paul Maddox and wife, Kristin, and Jacob Maddox; seven great-grandchildren, Caden, Joey, Kyleigh, Grayson, Holden, John Paul and Shepard. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Renee’ Rigmaiden; brother, William Travis “Pete” Maddox; and sisters, Loretta Calderon and Nieca Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Maddox, parents, Lee Travis Maddox and Hilda Holmes Maddox; brother, George Elbert Maddox; and sisters, Darman Lee, Betty Alridge and Mavis Broussard.

The family received friends from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, with the funeral beginning at 12 p.m. The visitation and funeral were held at The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, 301 West Fourth Street, DeQuincy. Interment followed at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
