Mary Margaret Davis, 71, was born Feb. 21,1949 in DeQuincy and passed away Dec. 25, 2020 in DeQuincy. She graduated from DeQuincy High School and McNeese State University in 1971. In 2011, she retired from Calcasieu Parish School Board.
She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Davis, wife Linda of DeQuincy, Derek Davis and wife, Shelley of DeQuincy, Damon Davis and wife, Karla of San Diego, Calif., and Dallas Davis of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Savannah Perry and husband, Garrett, Sarah Davis, Dalton Davis, Dawson Davis, Dayne Davis all of DeQuincy, Devon Davis and Dylan Davis of San Diego, Calif.; brothers, Jerry McDon-ald and wife, Bonnie of Pace Fla., George Mills McDonald of DeQuincy and Aaron McDon-ald of Edmond, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Davis; parents, Gerald Dave McDonald and Mary Hodges McDonald; sisters-in-law, Tracey McDonald and Laquita McDonald.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park.
