ORDINANCE NO. 936
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 – 2 OF ARTICLE I
OF CHAPTER 3 – ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AS TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON SUNDAY PACKAGED FOR REMOVAL FROM THE PREMISES BEFORE OPENING AND CONSUMPTION
WHEREAS, the City of DeQuincy desires to clarify the availability of alcoholic beverage permits for restaurants in accordance with the following provisions.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, in legal session convened, that Section 3-2 of Article I of Chapter 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of DeQuincy is hereby amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
Section 3-2 – Sale on Sunday
The sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday is permitted when the vendor sells the product to a customer enclosed in a package and the customer takes the package off the premises of the vendor before opening same for consumption.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 14th day of December 2020, and Ordinance considered, on motion by Ronda Jacobs, seconded by Mark Peloquin to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken and the following result was had:
YEAS: 4
NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 1
This Ordinance was declared duly adopted this 11th day of January 2021.
