Manson Tremé

Manson “Ricky” Tremé passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at the age of 94 years. Born to the late Adeline Doise and Columbus Tremé of DeQuincy on Dec. 22, 1925.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and loved playing his 1959 Epiphone guitar. Many of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved to play along and sing with Pawpaw.

He is survived by one daughter, Hulda Tremé Corbett and husband, Randall D. Corbett of Kingwood, Texas; one son, Pastor W. M. (Buz) Tremé and wife, Lorayne Richards Tremé of Denham Springs; one sister, Lena Tremé Marcantel of Sulphur; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margie Ruth Cooley, of 55 years; two sisters; four brothers; and one grand-daughter, Sherri Lynne Corbett.

He served in the United States Navy, was employed by BaRoLa Trucking Co., and Furlough Laughlin of Baton Rouge and Lake Charles before starting Ricky’s Field Services. Mr. Tremé was a member of Kings Harvest Fellowship Church in Denham Springs. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who were fortunate to have known him.

The Family would like to acknowledge the kindness and care extended to him by the Staff and Management of Golden Age Nursing Home as well as Craig Schaap and Chaplin Rob of Life Source Hospice.

There was a family graveside service held at Evergreen Memorial Park.
