The DeQuincy Tigers boys basketball team picked up their second straight win beating Kinder by a score of 69 – 62.
Scoring for DeQuincy was as follows: Reese Ashworth – 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists; Mario Dixon – 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists; Gavin Gary – 14 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals; Donte Thomas – 9 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals; Hunter Parker – 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals.
DeQuincy Tigers boys basketball had their worst district outing at a bad time against defending district champion Vinton who probably played their best game of the year, downing the Tigers 75-34. The Tigers were led by Donte Thomas with 16 points.
Girls
DeQuincy Lady Tigers fall in both district games this week. Falling to Kinder 63-26 and Vinton 59-40.
In the Vinton games, Gracie Whatley led with 16 points, and McKenzie Gore 15 points.
